2020
Agreeland was created first as a concept on 26 September 2020. Agreeland was created as a safe haven from to the vast amount of political chaos in the United States of America, as well to treat Native Americans and all citizens well, since the American government failed to, especially with the former. Built on the ideas of equality, freedom, and empathy, Agreeland was created to solve the issues the United States failed to resolve. The first flag of Agreeland was created on that same day. 26 September is remembered as Agreeland Day in celebration of our nation.
Agreeland’s current flag was adopted shortly after the first one, on 21 October 2020. 21 October became known as Flag Day. The flag of Agreeland has remained the same since.

2021
Agreeland stayed underground as a concept until 1 May 2021, when the borders of the state was established and groups of people came together under the banner.
Agreeland was smaller at first, starting off with only 27 districts. When the borders were first established, Agreeland’s western border was largely undefined. It was known that Agreeland owned approximately half of the U.S. state of Colorado. The entirety of Guymon District as well as the southern portion of Southern Rockies, Pratt, Sedgwick, and Osage Districts were not part of Agreeland at the time. Arapaho District and Nemahahaki District were not included either.

The first 27 districts were: (alphabetically, all were created at the same time.)
1. Barton
2. Buffalo
3. Capital District
4. Cass
5. Central Rockies
6. Cole
7. Dawes
8. Denver
9. Dodge
10. Douglas
11. Jasper
12. Johnson
13. Logan
14. Marshall
15. Merrick
16. Monroe
17. Northern Mississippi
18. Northern Rockies
19. Ouachita
20. Pratt
21. Pulaski
22. Saint Louis
23. Sedgwick
24. Shawnee
25. Southern Mississippi
26. Southern Rockies
27. Wayne
On 21 December 2021, the 28th district of Agreeland was annexed and added. Northern Missouri, now known as Nemahahaki, was annexed from the United States so that the U.S. state of Missouri would cease to have any territory.
2022
On 23 July 2022, following the discovery of an American piece of legislature, which allowed Cimarron Territory (Modern Guymon District/”Oklahoma Panhandle”) to join Kansas in the late 1860s, and also discovering that is passed both Houses of Congress, only to end up being vetoed by President Cleveland, Agreeland made the decision to recognize the American passing of the legislature, and as Agreeland is the successor to the American state of Kansas, annex the area. The area became organized into Guymon District, becoming Agreeland’s 29th district.
The first district flags in Agreeland became official 7 August 2022. Prior to this, Agreeland’s districts did not have flags. Over the next couple years, every district would end up with its own flag.

2024
15 January 2024 marked a major point in Agreelandian history. This was the day that the districts were reorganized. Most districts’ borders were changed. In addition, Douglas District was dissolved, being merged into Marshall and Shawnee Districts. The number of districts in Agreeland remained the same, however, as Omaha District was created from parts of Merrick and Otoe (named Cass at the time) Districts.

On 12 August 2024, it became revealed that in the 1850s, those south of the Platte River in what was then Nebraska Territory wished to join what was then Kansas Territory. Therefore on that day, Agreeland decided to accept that centuries-old request, and annexed areas south of the Platte River not already in Agreeland. This newly annexed area became Arapaho District, Agreeland’s 30th and still newest district.

2025
The election of Donald Trump as President of the United States of America caused relations between Agreeland and the U.S. to severely decline. Donald Trump’s poor treatment of American citizens and non-Americans living on or off of Agreeland’s territory led Agreeland to declare him “not welcome” and an “obstacle” to Agreeland on 3 March 2025. Today, Agreeland continues fighting for the protection of all people from President Trump through non-violent demonstrations, social media posts, and word of mouth.
On 17 August 2025, Agreeland took control of a small area in the city of Manhattan in Barton District. Manhattan became the de facto capital, with the government residing there, while Kansas City remained the legal (de jure) capital of Agreeland. Agreeland plans to return the government back to Kansas City at a later date.
