Denver was one of the original 27 districts of Agreeland created on 1 May 2021. Denver District is named after James W. Denver, a governor of Kansas.
The district was reduced in size by less than half during Agreeland’s second major redistricting on 22 March 2026, after proposals from and then a referendum among citizens from Colorado Region.
The flag of Denver was designed in 1926 for the city of Denver, and adopted as the district’s flag upon its creation. A zigzag white stripe horizontally separates the red below from the blue above, in which is centered a yellow circle, together forming a stylized depiction of the sun in a blue sky above snow-capped mountains. The color yellow symbolizes gold in the hills, and red the colored earth to which the word “colorado” refers. The white zigzag symbolizes Native American heritage.
