Illini was one of the original 27 districts of Agreeland created on 1 May 2021. It was formerly named Monroe District, being renamed on 29 March 2024. It is named after the Illinois Confederation, a group of Native American tribes.
The flag of Illini was designed on 29 March 2024 as part of its renaming. The left half of the flag is colors from the Peoria tribe’s emblem, as the Peoria are all that remain of the Illinois Confederation. The right half of the flag represents the Mississippi River.
